SuperRestoration Is Your Trusted Source

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Dear Reader,

When dealing with natural disaster damage as well as every day common occurrences like fires or the villain better know as Mold, Super Restoration is the company you want handling your issues. Super Restoration can help you return your damaged property back into a pre disaster attacked stage. The company specializes in restoring storm damage structures as well as helping the homeowner or the property owner rid his place of mold. Currently, mold has drawn a lot of attention from studies showing that mold can be the cause of many chronic illnesses that children, pets and adults get just by living in premises that have been overrun by mold.

Restoring your house and property can mean more than just drying out walls after a storm or getting emergency utilities like electricity and air conditioning. Restoring your home can also mean making it a healthier place to live. Newer homes and properties are being built with an eye to cutting costs of maintenance which includes sealing the structure more tightly than older homes which actually encourages the growth of mold since cooled or heated air may not be escaping but neither is the humidity and bacteria that grows in tight areas.

Super Restoration knows the problems that can form from added insulation that restricts the flow of air into and out of a property. One of our experts in some cases can quickly evaluate your property or homes mold damage which is easily seen as a fungus on walls or doors. Rooms with a musty smell that is immediately evident when entering a place infested with mold is a warning to all home owners and commercial owners. If you and your family are developing allergies and other illnesses that were not a part of your past medical history, this is sure sign that something is wrong and that you need someone like us to head to your homestead or place of business.
South Florida has mold problems that might be seen as caused by the extreme humidity and weather conditions that are elevated due to modern building practices. Super Restoration knows South Florida and the laws of the state of Florida and their inspectors are certified by the State of Florida. For all types of mold issues caused by growing spores in damp areas of your property, Super Restoration can provide an effective and quick solution to remedy the problem. Usually a company like Super Restoration is called following a storm or fire damage to a property, but for the slowly growing culprit like mold, the property owner should use their services to locate the mold, kill it and clean it up. Trying to do the work yourself without the proper materials and protection could cause more damage to your physical health as well as to your property. So when seconds matter, call Super Restoration.

A Brief History of Our Company and Services

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

I thought this week I take a moment to share a little bit about our business and go over just some of the aspects of our business and expertise.

Super Restoration was a small, home-based business that was started by a couple in 1986 as a cleaning service provider for carpets, upholstery, and fabrics. They run under the ever-popular philosophy that “no job is too large or small” for the amount of know-how and staff they have collected over the years. Since the start of the company’s existence they have expanded to include the cleaning and restoration services affiliated with the damage of more severe situations. This has become our passion and is the focus of our business.

As a mitigation and restoration company we provide reconstruction from damage, pack outs, and support infrared thermal imaging as well as providing portable air conditioning units to home owners and commercial owners.

We provide the service of inspecting and treating affected areas in a home or business left behind by flooding, fire, and mold damage. When mitigating mold in a particular location we first determine where the source of moisture causing the mold resides. Secondly, they use the highest rated in biocides to destroy the mold cells in an affected area and then a thorough clean-up of the surrounding area is executed. Super Restoration works to rid each affected area in a home or office building to ensure a mold-free environment for all. We are loyal to customers all over South Florida and we follow a specific list of guidelines to achieve success in each case.

We promise to give our clients an accurate estimate as well as provide a realistic time of completion for every project. Work is initiated immediately after the proper information is collected. Then, steps are taken to control the moisture and humidity factors in the area. Surfaces surrounding the area are then sealed off to prevent further growth of the mold and other damages. We are proud to say that we take every precaution possible to ensure our customers satisfaction. So when seconds matter, call Super Restoration!

Buying a Home or Property? Get A Mold Inspection by Super Restoration

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Although the negative effects of mold in the home have been known for quite some time, over the last ten years, more attention has been paid to just how detrimental mold may be for a person’s health. There are times when the presence of mold is obvious – it has a distinct smell and can often be seen. Still, mold can get into areas between floors and walls and beneath insulation where it is much harder to find. If you are considering buying a property or a home, it is a wise move to have a mold inspection completed by Super Restoration before putting any money down. Mold can seriously devalue an investment, so it definitely pays to know if there is a problem before paying top-dollar.

Signs of mold
Whether or not a property’s mold issues are outwardly obvious, a mold inspection by Super Restoration will help you get an understanding of the scope of this potential problem. Because prospective buyers do not have the opportunity to live in a home before they buy it, there is no way to accurately assess the long-term health consequences of being exposed to such a home’s fungus. Be sure to ask the previous owners about how they feel from a physical perspective – hopefully, they will be honest. It will save a lot of time and frustration if you do a little mold detective work before going under contract.

Mold inspection services
Because the harmfulness of mold-exposure is well-established, a thorough inspection by the experienced staff at Super Restoration is pretty much mandatory, if you want the entire buying process to run as smoothly as possible. Super Restoration will not only evaluate the malevolence of visible mold, they will also test areas that are covered by insulation. No stone will be left unturned, which means that the air will also be tested for the presence of mold. After the Super Restoration inspection is complete, a technician will go over the results and explain the options.

Removing the mold

If a mold problem can be quickly eradicated, mitigation services may make fiscal sense – especially if the sellers are willing to reduce their asking price. The certified team at Super Restoration will locate and block off the moisture source that is causing the mold. The mold will then be completely eliminated down to the spore through the use of biocides and solvents.

There are certain aspects of the home or property purchasing experience that are completely out of the buyer’s control. Fortunately, a mold inspection by Super Restoration is a simple step that can be taken to ensure that there are no nasty surprises down the road. There is no excuse for not identifying and addressing a mold problem before buying a house or property.

Super Restoration-Specializing In Water Damage Restoration For Condominium Associations

Friday, February 5th, 2010

Hello Readers,

Water damage mitigation and restoration for condominium associations is different from stand alone residences and takes some specialized expertise to get the job done properly. Water damage could be from a general flood, a backup of a sewer line, a broken washing machine hose, or even a broken window during a thunderstorm.

It really doesn’t matter how the water got in, what matters is how soon can it be taken out. This is not a do-it-yourself job, it takes professionals with professional equipment to mitigate water damage. Super Restoration-specializing in water damage mitigation for condominium associations are the experts for your association to call when water damage occurs. They can help with the insurance maze and know how to file claims with all major carriers. If you visit our site now, you can find out a little more reagrding this at, http://www.superrestoration.com/waterextraction.php.

As a general rule, individual condo insurance policies do not cover damage to the drywall, studs, insulation, flooring, windows and other parts of the condo that belong to the association. Think of it this way, as an owner, you own space in the building, not the building itself. From the floor covering to the paint on the walls and ceiling and anything within that box your policy will cover including furniture. Anything outside of that box is covered by the association’s policy. So your insurance and the association’s insurance has to work together. Super Restoration has the expertise and experience to help.

Remember, the flood in your condo, no matter where it came from, might also damage your neighbor’s condo on either side and below. So, you want people who know what they are doing to come into your place and those of your neighbors to repair the damage. It might be something as simple as lifting the carpet, drying it out, removing the pad, putting down a germacide and mildewcide to prevent mold and mildew, and reattaching the carpet. On the other hand, if the water built up and got onto the walls, the drywall may have to be cut out so far up the wall, and the old wet drywall removed and new drywall installed. This, of course, requires painting.

Super Restoration-specializing in water damage mitigation for condominium associations are experts in the field of water damage to condos. Don’t leave it to chance, have your association call Super Restoration whenever you have a water damage problem big or small.

Super Restoration Can Remove Odor from Damages

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Hello,

Following a fire or a flood in any building, residual effects of damages can often cause odors. Smoke fumes can pervade throughout a building and seep into areas above ceilings and within the building walls. Fabric finishes such as carpets and even designer wallpapers can absorb both water and smoke, resulting in the growth of bacteria.

The growth and spread of these strains of bacteria and mold will result in an extremely harmful and unsafe environment. For these reasons a thorough and systematic restoration of the immediate and adjacent damaged areas is more than a good idea. Such restoration is essential in returning a building to a habitable condition.

Restoration will most often begin by sealing off the areas where the damage occurred. Also, demolition of damaged finishes and systems is  necessary. Containment is essential in order to confine any airborne particles to these areas. Once the areas are contained the demolition and removal of wet and damaged items and finishes can begin.

Demolition exposes the sub floors as well as the ceiling and wall framing. Once walls and ceilings are opened up, the insulation is exposed. Here again is another material with the properties of retention. Fiberglass insulation in any forms, whether it is battens or blown-in insulation, cannot be dried out or otherwise recovered once it has been exposed to water or smoke fumes.

The dry out process takes place following the demolition. This process requires the use of high speed blowers that circulate the inside air and the use of dehumidifiers that draw moisture out of the air, drying out the entire area. The dry-out procedure is monitored on a regular basis throughout the course of the activity and the moisture content is noted and recorded with the aid of digital equipment.

Once the areas are dried out the process of odor control can be effected. In this process all areas are treated with anti bacterial solutions. In situations where the damaged finishes have remained in place for a given time, it is often necessary to remediate the building for mold. When mold remediation is necessary, a building cannot be reoccupied until a clearance certificate has been issued.

Super Restoration Can Restore Documentation Ruined by Water

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Hello,

Water damage can happen to a home or business at any time. Spills and water leaks are actually quite common. Any resulting loss of vital documentation can have serious consequences. Document restoration means the recovery of information or data from books, papers, and other forms of media that have sustained water damage. Super Restoration can recover important information from documentation damaged by water. Our goal is to restore the document and all of the information it contains to prime condition . Where possible, Super Restoration will return books, papers, and other forms of documentation to a condition that is safe and ready for use.

Many laws require businesses to retain, or maintain, information for a number of years. A copy isn’t appropriate for many forms of documentation such as signed business contracts, tax records, and legal files. Paper documentation that has been damaged by water will stick together and certainly be damaged when it’s pulled apart. Mold will begin to grow on the documentation if it is left to air dry, destroying important information. Those handling documentation that has become moldy are exposed to elevated health risks. Paper documentation will become brittle and subject to damage if it’s left to air dry. Losing vital documentation can cause serious problems for normal business activity. In a worst-case scenario, a company affected by water damage could be forced to go out of business.

Super Restoration utilizes the most modern equipment, technology, and advanced techniques to achieve the best restoration and data recovery possible. Some techniques used to recover documents damaged by water include desiccant drying, refrigerated desiccant drying, and freeze drying. Desiccant drying is accomplished in a sealed container using substances that are hygroscopic in nature. Hygroscopic substances attract molecules of water from their surrounding environment through absorption or adsorption. Adsorption is the sticking of the water molecules to the substance. Freeze drying is a dehydration process. The wet material is frozen to a temperature between minus fifty degrees to minus eighty degrees Celsius. Pressure is reduced and enough heat is added to allow the frozen water particles to evaporate.

Super Restoration specializes in emergency property restoration and recovery. We provide full service solutions with our state-of-the-art facilities. Super Restoration has On-Site Disaster Recovery Teams who are extremely capable and ready to serve your document and data restoration and recovery needs.

Super Restoration Can Restore Your Property Promptly

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Hello fellow readers,

Whenever a building undergoes a large amount of damage, one always wonders if restoring the building to its previous state is even possible or even affordable. Luckily, there are companies out there that specialize in house restoration, specifically of this nature. Super Restoration does just this, offering to do remediation on mold, fire, and water damaging that can be caused in your home or place of business.

Whether you have experienced a flood or a plumbing leak, Super Restoration will come and extract the water, using the latest equipment to free your building of this horrible inconvenience. Also, they provide mitigation services to prevent any mold or further damage being done. The debris will be removed from the premise and the windows boarded up while the structural drying takes place. This will prevent mold and toxins in the air from forming that could potentially cause health problems with anyone in the building.

When you find large amounts of mold in building, it needs to be taken care of immediately. Mold can cause various health problems and be a real disturbance in day to day life. In order to take care of this, Super Restoration will access the area, determining how much mold is truly there, and remove the contaminated items. After testing for and removing the moisture still in the room, they will seal off the surface where the mold has grown to prevent anything further from growing.

One of the specialties of Super Restoration is fire remediation. This means that all damage caused by a fire, both smoke and soot damage, needs to be taken care of before a building involved in a fire can be considered habitable, once again. We take careful steps, using specialized vacuums and our own personalized techniques to remove the smoke and soot damage. We will remove all the burned debris in order to best to be able to complete this process. Afterward, HEPA air scrubbing treatments will be used to deodorize the room and clean the air of toxins still lingering. It is the attention to detail that really makes this company special.

Remember, if you have an emergency, the restoration needs to begin immediately. These types of remediation processes are not something to be taken lightly. Super Restoration looks forward to helping you with your remediation needs so you can get back to rebuilding your own life, and not just your house or business.

Thank You
